Ive always loved pink. Its just yummy. So when I found out I was having a baby girl...I was thrilled. I mean hello Barbies, glitter and kittens.SO we are building a new house and Ive been obsessing over the paint color for my one year old daughters room. I know, I know pink is so cliche and obvious but guess what..I just dont care. I want to be careful though. The color cant be too sticky sweet or pepto bismolish. Ive been searching for the perfect shade, one that is something pretty like a ballet slipper. Can you see how many damn shades there are?! Its almost impossible and of course its hard not to get sucked in by the paint color names. Marshmallow Bunny, Pink Fairy, Baby Dreams, I Love You Pink , Pink Cadillac...so fun and confusing.

All of my research has turned me on to Sherwin Williams White Dogwood. Its just so soft and pretty and I think can make it past the baby years. Its not too much, too in your face. Paired with white trim and the right artwork I think its going to be a winner.
Its got that yummy pale pink shade with just a touch of peach.
Other shades that I thought were very feminine and fresh were:
Benjamin Moore Elephant Pink
and Sherwin Williams Verbena which is a tad more rosy.
What do you think? Oh jeez, now to pick the paint for my sons room. To be continued....
